Tobacco is the leading preventable cause of death for Iowans, taking the lives of more than 4,000 adults each year. Tobacco and nicotine cause health problems, including lung disease, heart disease, stroke, and many cancers (lung, larynx, esophagus, mouth, colon and bladder cancer).
